While the temperature might still be in the 70s here in Charleston, it doesn’t mean we’re not fully embracing the Autumn spirit, from heirloom pumpkins to seasonal foliage we’re for sure taking advantage of decorating our new apartment.

I’m so happy that we are well into the autumn season now. The temperature has finally dropped (after a warm spell last week of 28°C/83°F in New York!), and the boots and scarves are officially on. Whilst I’m pretty sure this time of year is everyone’s favorite for many reasons, for me it’s all about the creativity it brings out in people. From decorating homes to making costumes, you get to see so much personality and flair in those around you. However, just in case you’re in need of some inspiration, check out these awesome creative (and no carve) pumpkin decorating ideas.
I’ve said this over and over recently but fall truly is my favourite time of the year—I’ve literally been counting down the days until apple picking season. Last weekend the time was finally here, after moving our outing from Saturday to Sunday due to bad weather, we ventured out with friends to Melick’s Town Farm in Oldwick, NJ. Last year we visited several farms and struggled to find any apples to pick but at Melick’s we had no problem. From Golden Delicious to Joanagold, there was certainly no shortage. This plus the incredible weather—pure sunshine with a fall chill in the air—it was the perfect afternoon.
1. Apple Cider Margaritas not only sound delicious but would be perfect for an autumn evening girls night in.
2. I love the orange accents in this office and how they sit against the grey wall.
3.This gluten free pumpkin bread is a perfect accompaniment to a thick fall soup or stew.
4. A wonderful quote by William Cullen Bryant. The autumn chill has certainly set in around Dublin this week but you can’t deny how good it feels to start wearing cosy knits and hats again.
I love Autumn and the change it brings from Summer pastels to earthy tones. It’s also a perfect excuse to venture out with my drawing pencils and try to capture the shades of the season. Walking around Dublin City at the weekend, I found myself loving so many pieces of clothing and accessories, here are some of my favourite items that capture Autumn perfectly for me.
- Beekeeper Felt Hat
- Chambray Waterfall Dress
- Deborah Autumn Strip Snood
- Slouchy Bucket Tote
- Espresso Mug
- Pencil Set – Wooden Box
- Hollyday Ankle Boots
