[my dream bachelorette in charleston]
What a whirlwind the past six months have been! From Vegas to San Francisco, Charleston, Portugal and France (several which were work related trips) I never imagined that I would be fitting so much mileage into such a few short months. My big news? In May, Joe and I got married at the most beautiful vineyard north of Lisbon in Portugal and have been on cloud nine ever since, and because we decided to hand make as many of the wedding details as possible (invites, stationary, calligraphy, gifts to name a few) I decided to take a little break from blogging and enjoy the planning process. Now that we’re nicely settled in to married life, I’m excited to get back into all things Paper Vines and also of course share many of our wedding crafting activities! In the meantime, here is a little snapshot of the past six months in photos.
Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving!

I’m so happy that we are well into the autumn season now. The temperature has finally dropped (after a warm spell last week of 28°C/83°F in New York!), and the boots and scarves are officially on. Whilst I’m pretty sure this time of year is everyone’s favorite for many reasons, for me it’s all about the creativity it brings out in people. From decorating homes to making costumes, you get to see so much personality and flair in those around you. However, just in case you’re in need of some inspiration, check out these awesome creative (and no carve) pumpkin decorating ideas.
For a friend’s recent Birthday I wanted to give her a gift that personified her, a passionate adventurist who loves nothing more then spending her free time seeking out her next challenge; sailing another ocean, climbing another mountain, running another marathon. I created this framed calligraphy piece with the words that I felt highlighted her personality, her enthusiasm and zest for life. Happy 30th Birthday my dear friend, you are an inspiration!
